Celebrate Today - New Year's *Bling* Card

The theme for this week's {iCopic Weekly Challenge} is to create a project with Copics and some NEW * YEAR'S * BLING!

I'm also entering this into the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog} weekly challenge for "Anything Goes!"

I tried something new for this card:

Nope, you don't need to adjust your screen... it's a BLACK + WHITE card!  I colored this Flirty Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm with the cool gray tones of Copic markers:  C1, C3, C5, C7, C9 + Black.  It was quite a challenge doing the shading all in gray, but I love it!

After I colored her, I realized that all of my black card stock and patterned papers are warm gray/black tones, not cool gray tones... oh well!  Gotta use whatcha got, right?  I chose a patterned paper that had a bit of blue/gray tone to better match the Copic colors.  I think it came together well.

The patterned paper is from Colorbok and the card stock is from my stash.  I added some BLINGY gems as earrings and a necklace and glammed her up with some silver Stickles on her flower and shoes...

She's SO ready to PARTY!
Hope you all have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!  :)

Just For You - card

Hooray!  Friday means it's time for the "FRIDAY SPY-DAY CHALLENGE" over at The Greeting Farm's {Farm Fresh Challenge Blog}.    There is a beautiful card being featured that we are to case.

I am also linking this card up to the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog} which has an "Anything Goes!" theme this week.  :)

Here is what I came up with:
I love little Ruby.  She might be my very favorite gal from The Greeting Farm.  And, you may have noticed, I can't seem to color her hair anything other than red/pink.  It just suits her so well!  :)

I stamped little Ruby with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers.  I added white gel pen dots to her eyes to brighten them up a bit.  The patterned papers are from Colorbok and the card stock is from PTI.  I used the Sizzix flower die and chipboard heart to finish it off, next to some tied bakers twine.  The "Just For You" sentiment stamp is also from PTI's Friendship Jar stamp set.

Hello: a 3-challenge card

Merry Christmas, everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We spent ours not doing much, which is exactly how we like it.  :)  I didn't do much crafting either, so getting back in the swing of things today was exactly what I needed.

I decided to make one card for 3 different challenges.  Most people do this everyday -- I find it quite difficult!  Hence the "challenge" title, right?  I think this card pulled all 3 challenges together nicely:

The first challenge is from {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog} which was a BINGO challenge. I chose Ribbon/Twine + Gems + Glitter/Sparkle.

The second challenge is from {The Play Date Cafe} color challenge #112 which is to use Red + Dark Green + Lime Green + Taupe/Neutral.  I didn't want to make a blatent Christmas card, more of an everyday card.

The third challenge is from {The Farm Fresh Challenge Blog} Friday Spy-Day, which was to "case" a fellow card-maker's great card creation.

The Flirty Anya stamp is from The Greeting Farm.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The patterned paper is from Colorbok and Recollections.  The card stocks and sentiment stamp are from PapertreyInk.  It's a bit hard to see, but I put Stickles on her dress and flower. I added red gems as earrings and in the corners of the cards.  I used the scalloped circle die from Nestabilities and grograin ribbon tied with red/white bakers twine.

Garden Fresh - card

Here's my second entry for the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog} sketch challenge for this week:
I used my Friendship Jar stamp set from PTI, but since I don't have any of the "filler" sets yet, I made my own.  The flowers are from Hero Arts and the stems are just hand-drawn.  Everything was colored with Copics.  The papers are all by Colorbok.   Winter is really just starting, but this makes me wish it were already Spring! :)

A Little Birdie Told Me - card

I just received the Friendship Jar set by PapertreyInk as an early Christmas present (thanks mom!) and I'm so excited!  Be prepared to see a lot of jar projects.  :)

I made this small card for two challenges today:  {The Play Date Cafe} challenge #111 to use black, white and a touch of teal and {Simon Says Stamp} sketch challenge.
The images are stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and were lightly colored with Copics. The card stock and jar stamp are by PTI. The patterned paper is by Recollections. The bird and sentiment stamp are by American Crafts and the ribbon, brad and gems are from my stash.  I added silver Stickles to the jar lid and the brad for some extra *bling*.

Just For You - card

This week's challenge at the {iCopic Weekly Challenge Blog} is to make a holiday card/project, colored with copics of course.

I don't have many Christmas stamps at the moment, so I decided to alter one of the stamps I do have to make it more festive:
I used my C.C. Designs Sugarplums - Cherry Emma stamp.  Her shirt normally has cherries on it (hence her name) but I turned them into holly berries instead!

Up close, maybe not so great, but on the overall card I think it works!  She's sitting on quite the large present and it's JUST FOR YOU.  The sentiment stamp is from PapertreyInk.

All My Love - Christmas Tag

Yep, I've made a 4th project for the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog}  ...  I really want that gift certificate.  :)

This time I grabbed my scrap-stash and picked a few things that worked well together.  The sentiment stamp is from PapertreyInk's Love Lived Here: Holiday set.   Sweet and simple.

Christmas Lives In The Heart - card

I'm on a card-makin' roll today, I suppose!  I made a third card for the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog}.

I used my Sugarplums - "Spring Trevor" stamp and colored him with Copics.  The paper-pieced trees were cut with the tree dies from PapertreyInk's Love Lives Here: Holiday die set.  The sentiment and cardstock are also from PTI.

I paper-pieced the snow landscape and chalked around the tops with blue chalk.  The patterned paper is by Recollections.  I rounded the top corners and "stitched" around the card base with a white gel pen.

Peace On Earth - winter wonderland card

This card is my second entry into the current challenge at the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog}.
How cute is that deer?  This is another stamp I received in the blog candy I won, it's called "Joel" by Toodles and Binks.  So sweet.  :)  I colored her with Copics and set her into a Winter wonderland.  I added dots with Stickles to look like falling snow.

The card stock and sentiment stamp are from PapertreyInk. The patterned paper is by Recollections.  The flowers and sticker label are from my stash.

Sent With Love - shabby Christmas card

I was recently lucky enough to be the random winner of Tamara's AMAZING blog candy giveaway over at Posh Cat Crafts!  The loot contained stamps, paper, buttons, dies, flowers and a bunch of other great things.  I used a bunch of items on my card today.  (Thanks Tamara!)

I made this shabby Christmas card for a couple challenges: {iCopic Weekly Challenge #59} for black hair and {Simon Says Stamp Challenge} with a beautiful Christmas photo montage as inspiration.

One of the stamps included in the blog candy giveaway was this cute stamp by Gorjuss - "Sent With Love". I colored her with Copic markers.  I used the angel wings die from PapertreyInk to cut out a pair of wings out of white fun foam.  I used my scalloped and circle Nestabilites dies to go in front of and behind the paper doily.

I stamp all of my images onto Cryogen White Irridescent paper that gives everything a glittery shine when colored with Copics.
I inked around all of the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The cardstock is by PapertreyInk, the patterned paper is from Recollections.  The ribbon and doily are from my stash and the flower and holly berry bunch came in my giveaway loot.  :)

Deck The Halls - Make It Monday card

Here's my 3rd card for PTI's {MAKE IT MONDAY #43} challenge - ribbon pleating:

Haha!  I cannot look at his face without laughing, which is why this PTI sentiment from the "Love Lives Here: Holiday" stamp set is perfect:  DECK the HALLS with LOVE & LAUGHTER!
The card stock and sentiment are from PTI. The patterned paper is Colorbok.  The stitched velvet ribbon is from my stash, and the little ornament dude is hand-drawn and paper-pieced by me.  :)

{Holiday Tag} Giveaway

Hello everyone!  I am currently having a HOLIDAY TAG GIVEAWAY over at my other crafty blog {PEPPERMINT PLUM}....

Make It Monday - card #2

Here's my second card for this week's {Make It Monday #43} ribbon pleating challenge at the PTI blog:
I used the peppermint swirl and sentiment stamp from PTI's "Candy Cane Christmas" set.  I used two tones of green grosgrain ribbon for the pleating method.  The dot paper is from Colorbok and the card stocks are from PTI.

Make It Monday #43 - challenge card

I made this card tonight for {PapertreyInk's Make It Monday} #43 Challenge: Ribbon Pleating.

I used some stamps from PTI's Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set (mitten + sentiment) and some patterned paper from Colorbok.  The grosgrain ribbon came from my crafty stash.

I used the Nestabilities circle and scalloped dies and chalked the inside of the circle with pink chalk.  I popped up the mittens, scalloped circle and sentiment block on foam squares for some extra dimension.  All of this was placed on a white A2 size card base.

Celebrate Today - card

I made this card for the  {iCOPIC Weekly Challenge} which has a vintage theme.  I used my new Sugarplums - Spring Trevor stamp by C.C. Designs.

This was one of those cards that took a bit of planning and kept changing over and over as I was going along.  The finished project looks nothing like my beginning sketch, but I love it even more!

The patterned papers are from Recollections and Colorbok.  The blue/teal textured card stock is from my stash.  The Celebrate Today sentiment stamp is from PapertreyInk.  I inked around all of the edges with tea-dye distress ink.  It's all adhered to a Kraft paper card base.

{Freshly Made Sketches} challenge card

I made this card for the weekly challenge at {Freshly Made Sketches}:
My Nestabilities dies finally came (hooray!) and I put them right to work.  I love the scalloped circles!  I also used my new Sugarplums - Cherry Emma stamp from C.C. Designs.  I gave her a few freckles. How cute is she?

The patterned paper is from Colorbok.  Card stock from my stash.  Brown ribbon from MarthaStewart Crafts. I hand-printed the Thank You sentiment myself.

PTI's Make It Monday: Challenge Card

For this week's Make It Monday challenge at the {PapertreyInk} blog, we were asked to create a background with sentiment stamps.

I used the sentiment "Christmas lives in the heart." from PTI's Love Lives Here: Holiday set.  The angel, wings and small heart stamps are from the same collection.  I stamped the sentiment onto the Kraft card stock base with VersaMark ink. The hearts are in a darker brown.

The brown and patterned papers are from Recollections.   I added some clear Stickles to the angel's red heart to bling it up a bit. The angel, wings and heart are on dimensional adhesive as well.

Thanks, Ian! - card

This week's challenges at {Anyone For Anya?} and {iCopic} are both about THANKS and Thanksgiving.  Since I have made a few Fall-themed and Fall-colored cards already, I decided to make an everyday THANKS card instead:
I colored the Oh Boy! Ian stamp with Copics and paper-pieced the background with a few different patterned papers from Recollections by Michael's and DCWV.  The card stock is from PapertreyInk.

I do like how his jeans turned out.  I added some faded "creases" with the Copic blender pen.

It's Autumn, Ian! - card

This week's challenge at {The Play Date Cafe} is to use the colors Maroon, Copper + Turmeric... great Fall colors!

This Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm is usually holding a sunflower.  I masked off that part when I inked/stamped him so I could add some Fall leaves instead.  The little oak leaf and acorn stamps are from the dollar section at JoAnn.  They are so awesomely tiny and cute!

I popped the acorn up on a foam square for some dimension. The card stock that I used is from PapertreyInk... the perfect colors for the challenge!
He's perfectly dressed for an afternoon of gathering leaves, wouldn't you say?   :)

Cream in our Coffee at The Play Date Cafe
Thanks!

Ruby + Ian Sittin' In A Tree - card

For the weekly challenge at {Our Creative Corner} we were asked to create something with either pumpkins or the color of pumpkin pie...which is perfect, since Thanksgiving is quickly coming up!

I decided to stamp Ruby + Ian (from The Greeting Farm) together for this one:
Tee hee!  Awww, just look at those two...  :)

The colored card stock is from PapertreyInk and the patterned paper is from Recollections by Michael's.  I colored their outfits to match the stripes in the patterned paper.

I cut a small notch in the top fold of the card stock to thread the ribbon through and around.  I tied a loopy bow and topped it with a rope-tied, purple button.

Just Because - card

I combined two challenges for this card:  a color challenge from {Color Throwdown} and a sketch challenge from {Cardabilities}.

I just couldn't get the colors to photograph well.  The paper is a maroonish-red, not orange.  Anyway, I still like the sketch and the finished card!  :)

Christmas Princess Anya - card

I decided to turn my Princess Anya stamp (from The Greeting Farm) into a {CHRISTMAS PRINCESS} and I think she fits the role perfectly!
The Copic colors I used are:

HAIR:  R20, R22, R35, R27
SKIN:  E50, E51, R20
CLOTHES: YG00, YG03, YG06, YG91
CROWN/WAND: Y15, Y17, YR12
I used 5 different patterned papers that I had in my stash. Most of them are from DCWV stacks and Recollections by Michael's.  I tied a small, poofy, white bow with sheer ribbon and stuck in a few red berry picks to tie it all together.  I added some Stickles glitter to her crown, wand and eyelids.
I paper-pieced her gown with the same green/white patterned paper from Recollections. I did some specific spot-shading on her crown and wand and added the Stickles to those shadowed areas only.  I really love the dimension it provides.

I am also in love with her hair!  :)
