Hoppy Easter - a Tiddly Tuesday card

There's a new Tiddly Tuesday challenge happening at the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG} with the theme of "FABRIC FUN".

I've been working on this card on and off this past week and just put the finishing touches on it.  It even has a fabric yo-yo, so it fits perfectly with the challenge!  Woo!  :)
I used the Bunny Boo Adventures digi stamp from {Tiddly Inks Basement}. I love him!  He's so hoppy and happy that Easter is just around the corner. I colored him up with my Copics.  The DP's are from my stash and the fabric yo-yo is handmade by me.   The leaves were cut with the "leaves" die from C.C. Designs.  I cut two sets from different papers and scored and folded the top layer to give it more dimension.

Lucky Me - ATC

My project today is an ATC - Artist Trading Card.  Artist Trading Cards are small pieces of art, made on a base that is 2.5 x 3.5 inches (6.4cm x 8.9cm) in size.  I haven't made an ATC in years but I'm going to be picking it up again... this was too much fun to make!

I cut a piece of blank chipboard to the correct size and covered it with three different DP's.  I stamped Miss Anya Dressy from The Greeting Farm onto Cryogen Iridescent card stock and colored her in with Copics from the YG and G color families.

To make the clover, I punched out three hearts, glued them onto card stock and enhanced them with Copics.  I fussy-cut around the images and stuck them on the base -- the clover is on foam tape to add some dimension.  I then used my Dymo label maker to spell out the "LUCKY ME" sentiment.

I'm adding this ATC to the following challenges:

Commence SMASH*ing!

A quick post to share my first SMASH*book page -- dedicated to the Mister.   :)

How easy and fun is that?!  I had a bunch of things stuck into my cork board that I wanted to keep forever, but didn't have a good place to do it.  Now I do!  It's true what they say... smashing is definitely addicting!  And yes... I do love Cheetos, so this orange page worked out perfectly.  Heh.

For more info on SMASH*ing, check out my post {HERE}.   Have a great week, everyone!

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Photo Inspiration Challenge

It's time for another weekly challenge at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!  This week we have another photo inspiration for you to use when making your project (with a C.C. Designs or Greeting Farm image).

The theme is WINTER BLUES - show us your shades of blue!

I used the C.C. Designs Sugarplums "Teddy Emma" digi stamp for my card today.  She sure is snuggly and cuddly in her cute little bear coat!
I cut out a handful of hexagons from three different DP's (from DCWV mat stacks).  I glued them down in a honeycomb pattern and placed little Emma right on top, along with the sentiments.  The "HELLO" stamp is by Studio G and the "You Are Wonderful" words are from a tiny Technique Tuesday stamp set.

Please be sure to visit the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} blog to see our Design Team creations and to play along!

Truly Outrageous! - a neon explosion

Alright ladies... it's time to get retro.  I'm taking you all the way back to the '80s.  Yep, it was a while ago... that means we are all getting old.  lol

I found this "Lil Fashionette - 80s Sookie" digi stamp over at {Tickled Pink Stamps} and had to have her!  She reminded me of Jem.  You know, Jem.... she's truly outrageous! Truly, truly, truly outrageous!

See what I mean?  She's fantastic! I had so much fun coloring Sookie. I got to use my hot-pink Copics on this one.  Granted, my cards are usually brightly colored, but this one definitely ranks high on the neon scale.  :)

I used a bunch of different colors on her skin. There's some pink, purple and blue mixed in there -- typical '80s make-up.  The paper is all from my scrappy stash, so I'm not sure where the DP comes from at the moment.   I think this might be my best coloring yet!  She's totally rockin' out.  SO outrageous!

I'm linking her up to the current (and last) challenge over at the {TICKLED PINK STAMPS CHALLENGE BLOG}. Although the Tickled Pink challenges will no longer be happening, I will still be using Tickled Pink Stamps because they are fabulous!

my SMASH* stash

I'm happy to say that I am now an official SMASHER!  Last week I won an amazing SMASH* book mystery package from the talented Regan, over at {CHARMED STAMPING}. I had no idea what to expect, so imagine my surprise when I received this:

HOLY MOLY, right?  I was freaking out.  There's not only a regular size Smash* book, there's also a second smaller Smash* mini book!  There's stickies and clips and Smash* pads and mini pockets and larger pockets and two kinds of Smash* washi-esque tape and Smash* bands to hold the books closed when they eventually become super-duper chunky!

I'm still amazed.  Not only that I won the giveaway, but also at the awesome kindness of Regan to give it away!  Regan, I promise... my Smash* stash will not go to waste.  :)

If you are just hearing about the SMASH* book by K&Company and all of its wonders (or just want to learn more and see some cool things)  you can visit their sites {HERE} and {HERE}.  There's also a {SMASH STORIES BLOG} where you can read real stories that people have SMASHed and get some fantastic ideas of your own!

This video they made to introduce the SMASH* line is pretty awesome... it makes me want to get creative and maybe it will make you, as well:

I'm excited and a little intimidated to get started, but I look forward to sharing my SMASH* book creations with you.  Happy SMASHING, everyone!  :)

A Saturated Canary Card

I made this card for the current challenge at the {SATURATED CANARY CHALLENGE} blog, challenge #11 - anything but a square/rectangle.

Isn't she a beauty?  This is my first Saturated Canary image (which was a freebie a little while back!) but she definitely won't be my last!  All of Krista's images are gorgeous and so much fun to color. I'm sure you've seen them around and maybe you've colored some of your own!
I edited the digi image in Paint before I printed her out.  I made the image quite large and added a couple circles around her.  I wanted her to fill the entire scalloped circle frame, which she does quite nicely.  :)

I colored her with Copics and added some highlights with a black liner pen and white ink gel pen.  The DP is by Colorbok and the card stock is by Recollections.  I made some rolled paper roses and added a flat-back sticky pearl to each center.  Look at her gorgeous eyes!  What a cutie.

Hello - a Tickled Pink card

I've been admiring all of the digi stamps at the {TICKLED PINK STAMPS} store and I finally purchased my first one.  Let me just say...... SHE IS FANTASTICALLY cute and was so much fun to color with my Copics!  Looks like I'll be starting a new Tickled Pink Stamps collection.  :)

The current challenge #56 over at the {TICKLED PINK STAMPS CHALLENGES} blog is to make a "shaped creation".  I had a lot of fun with this one, as it's tall and skinny.  The DP's are from DCWV.  The HELLO sentiment is by StudioG (found in the WalMart dollar bin).  The flowers, twine and heart pin are from a bundle of crafty goodies that I recently won.

Miss You - {Anyone For Anya} Challenge

It's Sunday again! That means another challenge is up over at the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} blog!  Want to join in?  We'd love it if you did!  (Simply use a stamp from The Greeting Farm or C.C. Designs.)

This week we are having a SKETCH challenge -- it's a fun one (see sketch below). For my DT contribution, I created this card with one of the lovely stamps from the Miss Anya Dressy stamp set from The Greeting Farm:

Like I said before, I am in love with these Dressy Anya stamps.  They are so much fun to color!  I wouldn't mind being this little gal for a day.  :)   The papers I used are from Colorbok and the ribbon, flowers and buttons are from my stash.  The "Miss You" sentiment is from PapertreyInk's Mat Stack 3 stamp set.

Interested in joining the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} challenge this week?  Here's the cool sketch to follow:

Simple, different and easily adaptable to your own style.  Please stop by {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} this week to see my fellow Design Team members' creations and have fun!

Howdy - card

I made this card for the current challenge over at the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG}  #80 - Sparkle It Up!  I used one of the newest "Wryn" images - "HOWDY COWGIRL" and she's darling... as all the Wryn's are.  You can see them all and purchase the digi images {here}.

I'm also entering this card into the challenge at {DO YOU STACK UP?} #59 - Layers.

My "SPARKLE" shines in a few different ways (heh... see what I did there?).  The silver gems on the pony and wooden flower and the H O W D Y letters, which are punches from sparkled card stock. It's almost impossible to photograph sparkly/glittered things correctly, isn't it?

I printed the image on sparkly Cryogen Iridescent card stock and colored her with Copics. The SP paper is from Colorbok and the card stock is from PTI. The flower, ribbon and letters are from my stash.

I Love You - card

I created today's card with a few different challenges in mind... as well as Valentine's Day of course.  :)

I used my newest stamp set from The Greeting Farm called "Miss Anya Dressy", which can be purchased {here}.  I love, love, LOVE this set!  You'll be seeing a lot of these dressy gals.
I saw this fabulous card by Amy Young <--- (click that link to view her blog) and I drew my inspiration directly from it.  The colors I used are for challenges, but they also make up one of my favorite color combinations ever.  I love red and turquoise.

I colored her mostly with R (red) and BG (blue green) Copics.  The DP's are from Colorbok and the red + grey card stock is from Recollections.  The flowers, buttons and twine are from my stash.  The pearls are from Kaiser and the "Y O U" part of the sentiment is from a dollar stamp I found at WalMart (score!).

I'm linking this card up to these lovely challenges:

It's Your Day - card

The current challenge at the {WHIMSIE DOODLES} blog is to create a card using only scrap papers (and a Whimsie Doodles image, of course).  Now that is something I can do... I have TONS of many scraps in all sizes!
All of the Whimsie Doodles images are so cute!  You can see them all {here}.  They even offer some freebie images, one of which I used on my card today:

This little gal is titled "Mailed My Heart" and you can download her {here}.  I fell instantly in love with her.  I colored her with my Copic markers. The scrap papers are from Colorbok and the card stock is from Recollections.  The paper flower, button and grosgrain ribbon are from my stash.  The "It's Your Day" sentiment is from PapertreyInk's "Friendship Jar" stamp set.

Photo Inspiration - card

This week at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} we are having a PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge! (see photo below)  Be sure to check it out and join in!  Any image from The Greeting Farm or C. C. Designs is welcome.  We can't wait to see what you create!

I created a card with the Princess Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm:

I stamped the image 3 times on different paper -- white Cryogen Iridescent card stock, yellow DP and pink DP.  I then fussy-cut around the dress and the hair and paper-pieced her together... including her tiny pink star wand.  I colored her face and arms with Copic markers and added a little coloring detail here and there with matching Copics.

I really wanted her hair to be bright and beautiful and stand out... I think I accomplished that.  heh  :)
I love the pattern of the DP.  It gives her hair much more texture and just looks cool, right?

The card stock is from Recollections and PTI, all DP's are from Colorbok. The lace trim, yellow ribbon, flower and chipboard accents are from my crafty stash (not sure where they all came from).  The "Just For You" sentiment is from PTI's "Friendship Jar" stamp set.

I added some faux stitching around the outside of the card by poking a needle right through the card stock base then linking each hole with a white ink gel pen.  Looks like stitching to me!  :)

Papertrey Ink Inspiration - card

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 5th anniversary!  They are having lots of festivities on the blog this week including giveaways, games and challenges.

Over at the {PAPERTREY INK} blog they currently have features on their amazingly talented Design Team members, who not only share what they love about PTI, but they also share their own favorite PTI creations.   For the first challenge, we are asked to create a project that is inspired by one of the DT's favorite creations.

This is my card creation:
Each of the PTI design team members are fabulous, but my favorite PTI designer is Michelle Wooderson.  Her style and eye for design are exactly what I hope to discover in myself one of these days.  You can visit her personal blog {here}.  Her favorite creation and PTI items are:

So gorgeous!  I took my inspiration from the bright colors she used, as well as the button, homemade, sewing notions theme.  I only have a few stamp sets from Papertrey Ink, but the few that I have get used often.  For this card, I combined a few stamps from the "Mat Stack 3" set and the "Friendship Jar" set.  The DP's are from Colorbok and the lace, twine and buttons are from my stash.  The faux stitching around the edges was done with a needle and liner pen.

Happy 5th birthday, Papertrey Ink!
Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Hey There, Cupcake! - Anyone For Anya Challenge

It's Sunday! That means it's time for our weekly challenge over at {ANYONE FOR ANYA}. This week, the challenge theme is "SWEET TREATS" - create something treat inspired!
(with a stamp from The Greeting Farm or C.C. Designs.)

For my DT contribution, I created this card using the new C.C. Designs "Party Time Lucy" digi stamp, which you can purchase {here}.

Before I printed out the digi image, I manipulated it in Paint to add a Polaroid photo look around her head.  Once the image was printed, I inked her up with Copics and matted the "Polaroid" on black card stock.  I used Tea Dye distress ink around the edges of the photo to age it a bit.  I hand-printed the words "Hey There..." along the bottom.

The DP's are from Colorbok and the card stocks are from American Crafts.  The card base is 5"x5".
I stamped the word CUPCAKE along the bottom of the card base with Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABC's" stamp set (my new favorite alphabet set!).  I then colored in the letters with Copics with 3 different shades of green.  This textured card stock doesn't allow for much blending... it just absorbs whatever color you lay down, so keep that in mind if you try it.  :)

The cupcake stamp is from a set by Hampton Arts.  The stamp set name is "Block w/ Words & Icons"  (really?  how terribly NOT clever....) and it looks like this:

I stamped the cupcake block twice, colored one cupcake with Copics then cut both of them out to be layered for a little more dimension.  I added a gem for some bling, tied the card with some black/white bakers twine and that's it!

I'm entering this card in the weekly challenge over at the {ALL THAT SCRAPS BLOG}.   Also to the "Anything Goes" challenge #57 at {DO YOU STACK UP?}.

I Love You Most! - card

Have you seen the newest Wyrn images from Tiddly Inks?  They are adorable!  Christy is an amazing artist and she creates the cutest images (and she's super nice, too!).  You can see and purchase all of the Wyrn + Friends digi images {here}.

I created this card using the new "Wryn and Mo - Love You Most" digi stamp and sentiment.

A little fox!  I would definitely love him the most as well.  So soft and squishy.  :)

I colored Wryn and Mo with Copic markers.  The DP's are from Colorbok and Crate Paper.  The card stocks are from Recollections and K and Co.  The sheer ribbon and flower are from my stash.

I am linking this card up to two challenges:

Tiddly Inks' {TIDDLY TUESDAY CHALLENGE} #79 with a Valentine theme and {SIMON SAYS STAMP} with an Animal Antics theme.

Friendship Jar Card Set - gift

I received the "Friendship Jar" stamp set by Papertrey Ink this last Christmas and I was so excited!  I've used parts of it on almost everything I make.  You can purchase it {here}.

My sister requested a few cards made from the set, cards that she can use for the everyday, not just specifically birthdays or holidays.  Just sort of a "thinking about you" card set.  You got it, sis!

This is what I whipped up for her:

Polka-dotty jars!  I just LOVE this set.  I made 6 cards, all with the same base and DP and style, but with different color jars and sentiments.

The card stocks are from American Crafts. The floral DP is from Crate Paper's "Emma's Shoppe" collection.  The stamps, as I mentioned, are from Papertrey Ink and the buttons and bakers twine are from my stash.

I think I'm ready for Spring... what do you say?   :)

I'm linking this card set up to the "Anything Goes" challenge #57 over at {DO YOU STACK UP?}.

I Pick You - card

I made this Valentine card for a couple of challenges today.  The first is "Monday FUN-Day" over at The Greeting Farm's {FARM FRESH CHALLENGE BLOG} where the theme is "Key To My Heart".

The second is the weekly challenge #67 over at {iCOPIC WEEKLY} where the Copic color challenge was "Red Love" - showing some love for the Red (or R#) markers.
Oh, little Ian, you shouldn't have!  How cute is this "Hello Ian" boy from The Greeting Farm?  He's one of my favorites.  I tend to alter him a bit differently each time I stamp him.  He is originally holding a sunflower in his hand, but I wanted to switch it up a bit for more of a Valentine-y feel.

I used almost all of my R Copic markers for this one:  R20, R22, R32, R35, R27 + R29.  I love the Red Copic family and I use it in almost everything I color.  It's so bold and bright and cheerful!
The card stock's are from American Crafts and the green DP is from Crate Paper's "Emma's Shoppe Collection".  I ran the white card stock through my Big Shot in the polka-dot embossing folder for a bit of texture. The single-letter stamps are from American Crafts Stamp "Ginger" collection and the large alphabet stamps are from Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs".  The pink chipboard heart, the button and the twine are from my stash.  I placed everything on a standard A2 size piece of Kraft card stock.
