{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Sunday Challenge

The challenge this week at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} is
*SUMMER*FUN*
So gather your stamps or digi's from The Greeting Farm or CCDesigns and play along!
I used Princess Anya from The Greeting Farm for my Summertime card.  This basic sketch is probably my most used go-to sketch.  It just works, balance-wise and I love how it looks.  :)

The DP is from Colorbok and K+Co and the card stock is from American Crafts.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel.  The sentiment stamp is from My Favorite Things.  And of course, all of her little bits have been paper-pieced, except her skin which was colored with Copics.

Friendship - card

Oh, little Mimi... she definitely warms my heart.  I made this small 4" square card using the Penny Black "Mimi + Friend" rubber stamp. These best friends are colored with Copics and their matching dresses are paper-pieced.  The card stocks are from Papertrey Ink and American Crafts.

I really like these colors together... guess that's why they ended up on my blog, huh? :)  The sentiment stamp and scallop border die are from My Favorite Things.  The button and twine are from my stash.

Just A Note - card

I made this card using the sketch from My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #82 over on Splitcoast Stampers.  The stamp image is Pure Innocence - "Making A List".

She is colored with Copics and her clothes are paper-pieced with coordinating DP.  I used so many scrap papers on this card, I can't remember who they are all from!  :)  I'm pretty sure there's a mix of Crate Paper, Papertrey Ink and American Crafts plus another.  The sentiment is just computer-generated. The flower and scallop border dies are from My Favorite Things.

Miss You - a P.I. card

I am a big fan of the Pure Innocence stamps. I think they are so cute!  They are simple line drawings that are so much fun to color and to paper-piece, which you know I love.  :)

This little gal is "Pure Innocence - Because You're Special" from My Favorite Things.  She is colored with Copics and her dress and shoes are paper-pieced.  The DP's are from DCWV and the textured card stock is from American Crafts.  I added some machine stitching around each color block.  The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink.  The buttons are from my stash.  The leaf die is from CCDesigns.

The sketch I followed is from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #81 over on Splitcoast Stampers:
I'm showing it upside-down because that is how I used it!  Hee hee  :)  It worked better this way, since the image I used is facing the right.

I am also entering this card into the new challenge at {LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS} -- the theme is paper-piecing.  Be prepared to see lots of entries into that challenge this week!

Hello, Poppy - card

I guess I wasn't quite finished with my overnight crafting -- tee hee :)  I've made another PINK, GREY + BLACK card for the color challenge at {LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS}.  This time, I used the digi image {POPPY} by Christy at Tiddly Inks:

She's one of my most favorite Tiddly Inks images.  Look at that long hair!  So adorable.  I colored her with Copics.  The DP is from DCWV, the card stocks are from Papertrey Ink and American Crafts.  The HELLO sentiment is also from Papertrey Ink.  I used the Martha Stewart around-the-page double scallop punch, and the grosgrain ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks for all of your support, everyone!  It would be so boring to create for my eyes only... although, I'd still do it.  :)  One more day to enter my candy giveaway, if you are interested!

Oui Oui - card

There's a color challenge over at the {LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS} challenge blog.  The colors are PINK, GREY + BLACK.  I used my "Bonjour Mimi" rubber stamp by Penny Black, and a "Oui Oui" sentiment stamp from Unity:

I think they go together quite perfectly!  :)  I colored Mimi with Copics and added hi-lights with a while Gelly Roll pen.  All of the papers are from my scrap stash.  The pink crinkled satin ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel.

{Anyone For Anya?} - Sunday Challenge

Sunday means challenge day over at the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} challenge blog!  Our theme for you this week is "CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY in JULY". So gather your stamps or digi's from either THE GREETING FARM or CC DESIGNS and get crafty!

I used "TEDDY EMMA" - a Sugarplums image from C.C.Designs.  I paper-pieced her adorable bear jacket and shoes and colored the rest with Copics.  The sentiment stamp and scallop die are from My Favorite Things.  The striped candy stamp is from Papertrey Ink.  The twine, buttons and paper are from my stash.

Well Preserved - card

I was playing around with all of my dies last night and I decided I wanted to make a scallop-ruffle card.  I grabbed a stack of textured card stock, my Big Shot and the MFT Simply Scallops Die-Namics die and got to work!

How cool does this look?!  I can say that because the idea is not mine.  Ha!  I've seen it around a bit and I thought it looked so awesome.

I wanted to keep my card bright and cheery so I used bright white paper with the rainbow colors.  I added some sketchy detail with a black liner pen.  The jar stamp and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink's "Friendship Jar" stamp set.  The buttons are from my stash.

Hope everyone's having a great week!

Friendship Warms The Heart - card

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the current sketch challenge over in the {My Favorite Things} Splitcoast Stampers forum.

I also used colors (as close as I could get them!) from the current challenge at {The Play Date Cafe}.

I used the {à la modes Hot Cocoa Cutie} clear stamp set from MFT. I love her giant mug!  I ended up paper-piecing almost the entire image (surprise, surprise) because I didn't have any Copics to match the paper colors.  Her teeny tiny paper-pieced leggings are so cute!  The scallop die is also from MFT. The ribbon and buttons are from my stash.

Don't forget, there's still one more week to enter my

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} Sunday Challenge

Our challenge this week at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} is a sketch.  The sketch is fairly simple and can be interpreted in so many ways.  Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!  Be sure to use an image from The Greeting Farm or CC Designs to play along.

For my DT inspiration, I used Princess No.4 from The Greeting Farm:

You all know how much I love her.  I could put her on every card I make!  Lots of paper-piecing again. Her skin is colored with Copics and hi-lighted with a white Gelly Roll pen.  The sentiment stamp and scallop die are from My Favorite Things.  The ribbon is from my stash.

I just realized her skin looks really orange in the photo!  What the...?  Not sure how that happened. :)

A Warm + Wonderful Day - card

Oh, hello there!  Sorry it's been so quiet around here.  I had a busy work week and didn't have any extra crafting time.  Not fun!  Hopefully this week will be better.  :)

I made this card for the current challenge over at the {LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS} Challenge Blog.  The theme this week is "Sweet Summer Days".  I grabbed my "Easy Rider" Mimi stamp by Penny Black and got her all inked up:

The sentiment stamp is from My Favorite Things, as is the scallop border die.  The flowers are from my stash.  I colored Mimi with Copics and added some hi-lights with a while Gelly Roll pen.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  I plan on cleaning and rearranging my crafty space.  It could definitely use a little extra love and attention. Hee hee :)

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} Sunday Challenge

Happy Sunday, everyone!  We've got a new photo inspiration challenge ready for you at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}.  Be sure to use an image from THE GREETING FARM or C. C. DESIGNS to play along.  :)

I used Creeper Crew - Riley from The Greeting Farm again.  She's so sassy!  I love it.  She is fully colored with Copics... no paper-piecing on this one!  :)  After I colored her denim clothes, I used the colorless blender marker to dot all over to make it look more like denim fabric.  The card stocks are from American Crafts, the DP is from DCWV. The scallop border and layered flower dies are from My Favorite Things. The double scallop punch is from Martha Stewart Crafts.  The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink.  I finished it off with a large, yellow, vintage button and some orange/white baker's twine.

This card was inspired by a few different challenges.  The first is the new July sketch over at the {SOME ODD GIRL} blog.  I figured since Independence Day is coming up this week, it was only fitting to do something patriotic!

This gal is "Sweet Thinkin' Mae" from Some Odd Girl and she is a sweetie!  I colored her with Copics and paper-pieced her outfit with the coordinating DP used on the rest of the card.  I've had this DP for a few years now and I'm not sure who makes it.  The card stock is from Papertrey Ink and American Crafts.  The sentiment is stamped with red ink, but of course it wants to show up as pink instead.  :)

The stacked flower die and scallop border die are from My Favorite Things.  The red, white and blue bakers twine and button are from my stash.

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} Sunday Challenge

Time for another challenge over at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!  This week, our challenge for you is to use a stamp/image that you either haven't used before or haven't used in a while.  Make sure it's a stamp from THE GREETING FARM or C. C. DESIGNS to play along!

I looked through my fastly-growing collection of stamps from The Greeting Farm and decided that I hadn't used "HELLO IAN" in a little while, so I got him all inked up:

I colored his skin and some of his clothes with Copics.  The rest is paper-pieced with DP from Recollections and K+Company.  The flowers and tiny buttons are from my stash.  The scallop border die is from My Favorite Things.  The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

I wanted to share how I finish off my paper-piecing bits:

Whenever I stamp black ink onto DP, the ink shows up pretty lightly.  I prefer all of my images to look crisp and clean, so I grab my liner pen and outline them.  On images that will be paper-pieced, I only ink around the part that wont be covered with paper (face, hands, etc).  I then go around each cut paper piece to make sure all of the stamp details show up.  I think it gives the image a perfectly finished look.  Plus, it makes me feel like I'm playing with paper dolls! :)  Oh, Ian, you are too cute.
