It's {APRIL in WONDERLAND} at TGF!

Hi, everyone!  Today is the day, and this is NO April Fool's trick!   We are excited to bring you the APRIL release, beginning with our LIMITED EDITION "Wonderland Beans" as well as our Delicate Words die which will be available ongoing in the TGF Store.

We've had a few questions about this Limited Edition release.  Rest assured, we will re-stock as we need to during the month of April, but after that, they will be gone, so get them while the portal to Wonderland remains open!  :)

We also have some big news as far as releases go.  As you may have read, TGF is thrilled to announce that starting NOW we are going back to MONTHLY releases...so there will be a lot of additional excitement here on the Farm!

For my project today, I've made an altered chipboard art piece, featuring the new {QUEEN BEAN}.  She is the cutest Queen Of Hearts I've ever seen!

I stamped her onto watercolor paper and water colored her with Distress Inks and a blender pen.  I added some black/gray ink in areas to emphasize the shadows and tie her in to the black, distressed edges of the piece a bit more.

The letters are Tim Holtz Grungeboard, which can be altered in many ways.  I covered mine in Black Soot Distress Ink and stardust Stickles.  The little metal crown is also from a Tim Holtz charm pack.  The red scallop border was cut from craft foam.  I punched holes in the scallops with a regular hole punch. The rest of the embellishments were random bits from my collection.

She's sparkly and awesome and is hanging on my wall winking at me right this very second! :)  I've made a video showing how I put this art piece together.  You can view it {HERE} or below:

CHESHIRE BEAN

I water colored my images with Distress Inks on watercolor paper.  The first card has a "Hugs" sentiment stamp from My Favorite Things.  The second has a "You're Pawfect" sentiment stamp from The Alley Way Stamps.

{Happy Easter} a Lawn Fawn Tag

Have you seen this {HAPPY EASTER} stamp set by Lawn Fawn?  Oh my goodness it's adorable!  It has a couple of bunnies, a little chick, this cute sentiment, and a bunch of other Springy elements.

*squeee*

I was itching to get it inked up this last weekend, so I made a bunch of tags to tie onto some Easter treat bags for my family.  Each tag was die-cut with the {TAG SCALLOP DIE} from Paper Smooches.  I then embossed each tag with the Tim Holtz {HONEYCOMB} embossing folder.

The banner is from Lawn Fawn's {BANNERIFIC} stamp set and {BANNERIFIC - LAWN CUTS} matching die set.  I popped up each banner and bunny on dimensional adhesive, added a bit of ribbon to the top, and tied them onto treat bags with baker's twine.

The background paper in the top photo is from Lawn Fawn's {DAPHNE'S CLOSET} paper pack.

I searched all over for the pink, strawberry Whoppers malt-balls, but no luck.  I hope these don't look too much like little bags of bunny poop... hee hee!  But, if they do, they are the CUTEST little bags of droppings ever!  :)

{Farm Fresh Friday} with TGF

Friday is here! Hooray!  Time for a new {FARM FRESH FRIDAY} challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog.  This week, we're challenging you to:

MAKE AN EASEL CARD

A what now?  An easel card!  If you haven't made one before, they are really fun!  There are many different ways to make them, but this how-to diagram shows how I usually make mine:

You can also search for videos on YouTube to see different ways to make them. :)

For my card, I used "CC - MONDAY MORNING".  She looks like she's been having fun at a sleep-over party, so I wanted to make a night scene.  I blended some Distress Ink together to make the sky background, then flicked some water droplets all over to create a "galaxy" effect.  I finished it off with some tiny stars stamped and stickled all around.

I water colored her with Distress Inks and paper-pieced her hair.  The card base is decorated and popped up with dimensional adhesive to provide a spot for the card top to lean against.

The banner stamp and die are from Lawn Fawn.  The swirl die and sentiment stamp are from My Favorite Things.  I loved the sentiment so much and just had to use it... so I drew a few freckles onto Monday Morning's cheeks to make it work.  :)

Here's a look at the card from the side:

All of my fellow design team members have created the cutest easel cards to inspire you this week!  Be sure to pop on over to the {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog to check them out and to play along.

{DOUBLE-TAKE TUESDAY} with TGF

This week, our {DOUBLE-TAKE TUESDAY} challenge theme over on The Greeting Farm blog is:

F*L*O*W*E*R*S

We want to see what flowery projects you can come up with this week since tomorrow is the first day of Spring!  I'm so ready for it.  :)

I've used the TGF "Blush Beatrice" stamp and the "Mini Flower" die on my card today.  I watercolored Beatrice with Distress inks.  To make the flowers, I die-cut 2 flower shapes and crinkled them up. I cut a small slit on one of the petals and overlapped it before gluing it down, to give each one a little dimension so they pop off the page a bit.  The sentiment is by Paper Smooches.

Be sure to stop by the {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog this week to see all of the DT's flowery creations and to play along!

{Make A Wish} Lawn Fawn style

A certain mother of mine may or may not be having a birthday this month -- you know who you are.... look away 10 seconds ago!  hee hee  :)

This card is for her.  How adorable is this unicorn?!  She's from Lawn Fawn's "Critters Ever After" set, as is the sentiment.  The banner is made with the "Bannerific" stamp set and the matching "Bannerific - Lawn Cuts" die.

I stamped the unicorn onto watercolor paper for a bit of added texture, since I was leaving her white and uncolored.  I did add a bit of Distress Ink color to her hair and horn.  I then covered those with Stickles for some sparkly magic. :)  I added a bit of machine stitching and popped the elements up on dimensional adhesive.

I'm entering this card into the new {LAWNSCAPING} stitching challenge:

S*P*A*R*K*L* S*H*I*N*E

I got my sparkle on this week with "Anya Blooms" - the newest Big Anya stamp.  I water colored her with Distress Inks.  I also used the TGF "Mini Flutters w/ Die" stamp set.  I coated the flowers and flutters with stardust Stickles.

She has such a cheerful face! :)  I made a coloring demo video for this card which you can view {HERE} or down below:

{RETRO-FRESH CHALLENGE} with TGF

The Greeting Farm's month-long {RETRO-FRESH CHALLENGE} is up and ready for you to play along!  The Retro-Fresh challenge requires you to use a TGF stamp that is at least 6 months old, and to follow the challenge theme.

The theme for this month is:

BOYS

We want to see what you can create using an older BOY image.

For my card, I used cutie-patootie "HELLO IAN" rubber stamp, which just happens to be ON SALE for just $5 right now!  Go grab him while you can!  He's so sweet.  :)

I water colored him with Distress Inks and paper-pieced his hat with some of the same background paper.  The cute designer paper on this card is from Lawn Fawn's "Pink Lemonade" and "Daphne's Closet" Petite Paper Packs. The sentiment is from LF's "Critters On The Savanna" stamp set.

This card makes me so happy every time I look at it.  I think it's going to be a keeper! :)  I added some highlights with a white ink gel pen and dabbed some Stickles into the middle of the flower.  The background was embossed with the Tim Holtz honeycomb embossing folder.

Stop by the {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog today to get all of the juicy details on how to play along in the Retro-Fresh Challenge this month.  There are free TGF stamps to be won!

{Double-Take Tuesday} with TGF

We have a new {DOUBLE-TAKE TUESDAY} challenge up and ready for you on The Greeting Farm blog! Our challenge theme for this week is:

AQUA + CHEVRON

Two fabulous design elements, if you ask me!

For my card, I used the new "CC MONDAY MORNING" stamp.  She may not like mornings, but she sure looks gorgeous anyway.  :)  I water colored her with Distress Ink and added highlights with a white ink gel pen.  The sentiment stamp is from Paper Smooches' "Good Gab" stamp set.

I wanted to make sure that CC MONDAY MORNING was the focus of the card, so I stamped her onto a large die-cut circle of watercolor paper that filled almost the entire card front.

I covered a third of it with chevron design paper.  I made the sentiment into a tag and tied it with some baker's twine.  I added a bit of Stickles to the little skull on her sweater.  An adorable skull with a bow, no less.  :)

Be sure to stop by the {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog this week to see all of the pretty DT creations and to play along... the more players, the better the prize!

{Farm Fresh Friday} with TGF

This week it was my turn to choose the theme for the {FARM FRESH FRIDAY} challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog.  What theme did I pick?

LUCKY YOU!

With St. Patrick's Day coming up on the 17th, I wanted to challenge everyone to make something for the holiday.  Think green, folks!  And, anything else that reminds you of the holiday.

For my card today, I used the new "BLUSH BEATRICE" and the sentiment stamp that comes with her.  She looks like a little baby doll!  I thought she'd make the perfect Irish dancer.

I water colored her with Distress Inks and covered her dress and bow with Stickles for extra shine.  She's such a sweetie!

I'd love it if you hopped on over to the {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog to see all of the DT creations and to play along.  You could win some free stamps!

Go... get crafty, think green and GOOD LUCK!

{CELEBRATE} a birthday card

*SQUEEEE*

Have I mentioned how much I *ADORE* putting smiley faces on inanimate objects?  'Cause I do. I love it.  Everything is cuter with a smiley face!  I used the "Hullabaloo" stamp set from Paper Smooches for this birthday card.  The smiley face stamp is separate so you can add it to anything and everything!  :)

I also used "Duo Die 1" to create a place for the sentiment to live.

I water colored the balloons with Distress ink and fussy-cut them out.  I popped them up on dimensional adhesive and added some stardust Stickles to make them sparkle.

Hilarious side note:  when taking these pics, my camera auto setting kept switching to portrait mode.  Like they were a smiling, happy balloon family.  hee hee!  :)

* * * * *

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

{SIMON SAYS STAMP} - Bit o' Green
{LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS} - Anything Goes
{PAPER SMOOCHES SPARKS} - Smiles Trend Watch

a card share with {LAWN FAWN}

A little while back I was chosen as one of the winners of Lawn Fawn's CHA catalog contest.  Not only was {MY TAG} shown at the CHA booth and featured in the new catalog, I also won a fantastically huge prize pack!  Kelly Marie over at Lawn Fawn is one of the nicest gals around. :)

She asked me to share one of my creations made with some of my winnings.... of course!  I'm a sucker for all things Lawn Fawn.  This card is being featured on the {LAWN FAWN} blog today.  Pop on over there for links to the supplies I used.

I really love how this layout came together!  It's probably going to be one of my new go-to layouts for a while.  I like how it shows off the main image panel stamped with the cutest little "Critters". :)

Thanks for stopping by!

{Double-Take Tuesday} with TGF

After a week of new release previews, we're back with a new {DOUBLE-TAKE TUESDAY} challenge on The Greeting Farm blog!  This week's color challenge theme is:

BLUE  + BROWN

I used the new "ANYA BLOOMS" stamp set.  Isn't she just adorable?  This is a regular A2 card size, so you can see just how big she is.  All of the big Anya stamps are so much fun to color.

I water colored her with Distress Inks and added some stardust Stickles to her flowers.  I also used the TGF "Mini Flower w/ Die" and cut it in half to place around the image.  The sentiment on the front of the card, and the one on the inside come with this big "Anya Blooms" set!

We'd love it if you stopped by the {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog this week to see all of the DT creations and to play along!  There's always an awesome TGF prize to be won.

{Hello Chickadee}

This card was inspired by the new challenge over on the {LAWNSCAPING} blog to add texture to a creation.  I recently bought some new embossing folders and knew this one would be perfect... it looks just like chicken wire!

I paired it with a few Lawn Fawn goodies -- the "Critters On The Farm" stamp set and "Bannerific" with the matching dies.  They are awesome!  The paper is also from Lawn Fawn.

I water colored the mother hen and her chickadees with Distress Ink and added a bit of Stardust Stickles.  I popped everything up on dimensional adhesives.

I'm also linking this card up to the {SIMON SAYS STAMP} challenge with the "Anything Goes" theme.  :)

{Altered Mini Matchboxes}

A couple weeks ago I made and shared a how-to video on my YouTube channel but didn't get a chance to show the project with you here. So, here you go! :)

I emptied a few mini matchboxes of their contents and covered them with some cute paper and decorated the tops with some dimensional die-cut flowers and embellishments.

They are the perfect size for hiding a small note of thanks, or some coins from the Tooth Fairy, or even some jelly beans in an Easter basket!  Any reason to give someone a special little something.

You can watch my how-to video {HERE} or down below:
