{FARM FRESH FRIDAY} with TGF

It's time for a new {FARM FRESH FRIDAY} challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog!  This week we have a color challenge for you:

Joni challenged us to use baby blue, silver and white.
I didn't have anything that matched perfectly, so I used the closest colors I could find.  Gray is just dark silver, eh?  :)

I used the adorable deer and a sentiment from the "FOREST FRIENDS" stamp set.  I stamped her onto watercolor paper and water colored her with Distress Inks.  I inked up a cloud background to tie in the blue color of the card base.  The butterfly is from the TGF stamp set "MINI FLUTTERS".  The flowers and leaves are from Papertrey Ink.

Hop on over to The Greeting Farm's {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog to see all of the DT creations and to play along.  There's also a great sale happening in The Greeting Farm shop this weekend, so be sure to check it out!

*I'm entering this card into the {SIMON SAYS STAMP} Anything Goes challenge*

Thanks for visiting.

{FARM FRESH FRIDAY} with TGF

We have a new {FARM FRESH FRIDAY} challenge ready and waiting for you on The Greeting Farm blog!  This week's challenge theme is:

* LET * IT * SNOW *

Gotta say, I'm loving this card. :)  I stamped the angel image from the new "MY HEART" stamp set onto watercolor paper with VersaMark ink.  I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then water colored the image with Distress Ink.  I didn't want to do too much blending -- I wanted to keep it looking like a true water colored image.  I think she looks awesome!

I also heat embossed some snow onto navy blue card stock for the background.  I then inked up the edges, added a few buttons and a sentiment and she was complete.  You should try embossing in white before coloring your images... it gives it such a cool look!

Be sure to stop by The Greeting Farm's {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog to see all of the DT's SNOWY creations and to play along!  There's also a fun announcement that you do not want to miss -- here's a hint:

{Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum}

I was in a holiday mood tonight, so I grabbed my iPod, queued up some Christmas tunes and got crafty with my Lawn Fawn {Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum} stamp set.  There was quite a bit of Eminem mixed in with the holiday music, however... 'cause dat's how I roll, yo.  :)

I wanted to make something other than a card so I went with an ornament/tag.  I water colored the little drum dude with Distress Ink and paper-pieced his main body.  I used some polka dot paper so I could play along with the current {LAWNSCAPING} challenge.  This little guy came together pretty quickly -- he'd be pretty easy to duplicate for a bunch of gift tags or bags.  All of the stamps in the set would be super cute!  :)

{Sending Healthy Vibes} - card share

Sorry for the silence around here this week!  I'm going on two months straight now of health issues that just will not clear up, and my crafting energy has paid the price.  I'm hoping things clear up this week so I can have more time to play... there are so many things I want to make! :)

* * * * *

I was able to make a Get Well card for my friend, however.  I used the wood-mounted rubber stamp {FIRST AID MIMI} by Penny Black.  You all know I have a super soft spot for little Mimi... her cuteness kills me!

I stamped her onto watercolor paper with black Archival Ink and watercolored her with Distress Inks.  I added a few highlights with a white ink gel pen.  The sentiment is from the {FIRST AID KIT} clear stamp set by Paper Smooches.

{FARM FRESH FRIDAY} with TGF

We've got a new {FARM FRESH FRIDAY} challenge up and ready for you on The Greeting Farm blog!  This week's challenge theme is:

WASHI TAPE

I used a bunch of different washi tape designs on my background today.

I taped them on one-by-one onto a strip of white card stock that I had already trimmed to the size I wanted.  I backed that strip of card stock with black paper to the designs would really *pop*!

I stamped {FROU FROU SWEET} onto watercolor paper and water colored her with Distress Ink.  I added a few highlights with a white ink gel pen and some stickles, of course. :)  The sentiment is from the new {OA - VALENTINE} stamp set.

I can't wait to see what you create!  Hop on over to The Greeting Farm's {SPLENDID STAMPING} blog to see all of the DT creations and to play along.

{Let's Make A Card!} series - Card #1

I'm starting a new card-assembly series of videos! If you are like me, you really enjoy watching the creative process happen from start to finish and seeing a completed card come together right before your eyes.  So, that's what I'm starting for you!  If you are interested in seeing how I make my cards, please pop on over to {MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL} and subscribe to be kept in the loop!

At this point, I don't have any voice-over capabilities, so the videos are not a step-by-step instructional -- you simply get to watch me make things.  Obviously, the purpose of these videos is so that you can be inspired to make your own cards, or possibly to see a new technique that you haven't tried before.  For me, when I'm in a crafty haze and don't feel very creative, I head to YouTube to watch craft videos to get some new ideas and to just watch the creative process happen.

I like to see different ways of creating art and don't always need an exact step-by-step set of instructions on how to do something.  I never copy anyone's cards exactly, anyway -- it's good to be creative in your own way!

So that's the point of my videos -- to help spread creativity and to throw out some inspiration where I can.  I would LOVE it if the things I make inspire you to be creative and have fun!  :)

If you ever have any questions on a specific card or a technique, please don't hesitate to ask.  You may even inspire me to make another video!

Now, on to Card #1:

I used little Oliver from the new {OA - VALENTINE} stamp set by The Greeting Farm.  I water colored him with Distress Ink and paper pieced his hat.  The coloring portion of the video did not make it from my camera to the computer for some reason (grumble grumble) so the video is simply how I put the whole card together.

Gosh, he's a cutie.  :)

 I hope you guys enjoy my new series!  Thank you so much for reading my blog and subscribing to my videos -- it means the world to me.

Luvs,
Annie Rose
