{WARM THOUGHTS}

It's a miracle... I sat down at my craft desk and finished a card in one setting! It usually takes a while to figure out what I want to do, then do it, then glue it all together.  Somehow I stayed focused this morning and got it done.  Ahh, sweet crafty relief!  :)

I used "LEILANI" from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I stamped her onto watercolor paper and colored her with Distress Ink.  She has very light blue eyes that just don't want to show up, no matter what!  I trimmed her out and popped her up onto a bunch of layered die-cuts and papers.  I inked all of the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.

The sentiment stamp is from "Paper Smooches". I tied on a few green buttons from "My Favorite Things" and added some leaves and flowers from "I Am Roses".  I added some Stardust Stickles to a bunch of elements and it was complete.

I'm entering this card into the following awesome challenges:

{7 KIDS COLLEGE FUND} - Anything Goes
{KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS} - Spring Has Sprung
{SIMON SAYS STAMP} - Anything Goes with Buttons

{The Sweetest Things}

I've got a card share + video demo for you today!

I was inspired by a few different challenges (listed below) to make a special birthday card for my mom.  She really loves the "Cheeky" line of stamps from The Greeting Farm... as do I.  :)

I used "CHEEKY HOWDY" and I stamped her onto watercolor paper and colored her with Distress Inks.  I paper-pieced her hair with designer paper and then fussy-cut her out.

I added some Stardust Stickles to some of her clothes and the cherries in her hair.  Most of the elements on the finished card have a lot of sparkly Stickles coating them as well. The sentiment die cut/stamp set is by My Favorite Things. I made some cherries out of red buttons (MFT) and hung them from white cherry blossoms by I Am Roses.  I spritzed some white mulberry paper leaves (also from I Am Roses) with green and gold Shimmer Mists to give them some sparkle as well.

I really like how this card came together and I hope my mom will, too.  You can watch the coloring + paper piecing video {HERE} or down below:

{WOO HOO!}

The current {KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS} challenge theme is "PRETTY IN PINK" and I couldn't pass up a chance to use my favorite Rachelle Anne Miller stamp "BIRTHDAY GIRL".

I've had this adorable stamp for a while now but I don't believe I've had to chance to share her yet.  Isn't she the cutest?  I am a big fan of Rachelle's and I'm so glad she is illustrating stamps again.

I stamped this little sweetie onto watercolor paper and water colored her with Distress Inks.  I added a few highlights with a white ink gel pen.

She's ready for an adventure with her big pink balloon and her trusty old teddy! :)

{Oh, Hi There!}

I'm back after a much needed bloggy break and I've got a quick Easter tag to share with you.  I made this with a couple of challenges in mind:  {LAWNSCAPING} challenging us to go clean + simple (with Lawn Fawn stamps, of course!) and {LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS} with the challenge of adding corrugated cardboard.

I stamped one of the cute bunnies from the "HAPPY EASTER" Lawn Fawn set onto watercolor paper and water colored him with Distress Ink. I added a few highlights with a white ink gel pen and then cut him out.  I glued him onto an inked and die-cut circle, alongside the stamped sentiment banner.  The sentiment words are from the Lawn Fawn "HAPPY EVERYTHING" set.

I then popped the little scene onto a die-cut tag, which I covered with some recycled corrugated cardboard.  I then tied on some twine and a button and it was complete!  It was hard for me to keep it clean + simple -- I kept wanting to add more and more things... like flowers.  Lots of flowers.  But I think it turned out pretty darn cute!  :)
