{When Life Hands You Lemons...}

...make lemonade!  I am a lover of all things lemon -- drink, pink, cake, cookie, candy, you name it.  I love it sweet and I love it sour and it's perfect for Summer.  So, when I found the {FRESH 'n FRUITY} stamp set by {REVERSE CONFETTI} I just had to have it!  I decided to get it inked up today so I could play along in the current Reverse Confetti color challenge.

The color challenge is RED, NAVY, and GOLD.  I die-cut the lemons and inked them up with three different colors of yellow/gold.  I inked around the edges to create a bit of shading.  I adhered them with some dimensional adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment (with the cutest fonts!) in red and tied it all together with some navy blue grosgrain ribbon.

{WHAT'S UP?}

My card today features stamps and a die from {PAPER SMOOCHES} and I'm playing along in the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge for this week.

It's no secret that the {BIRTHDAY BUDDIES} stamps set is one of my favorites, but I didn't ink up the adorable crazy bird this time... shocking, I know.  I chose the little gopher/groundhog buddy who is popping up to see what's goin' on!  I stamped him onto watercolor paper and watercolored him with Distress Ink.

I used the {DUO DIE 1} twice, once to cut the center frame from the watercolor paper and a second time in the green cardstock for the outer frame.  I used the same cardstock to heat emboss the "What's Up?" sentiment from the {GOOD GAB} stamp set.  The stitched panel is from My Favorite Things and the dotty paper is from Papertrey Ink.

{Hello, Little Mouse}

Just a quick card share today...  I've been playing with more of the goodies I recently got from My Favorite Things and I made this card with the current MFT sketch challenge as inspiration.

This stamp is Mouse In The House - Blessed Mouse, from MFT, and she is just too cute!  I stamped her onto watercolor paper and watercolored her with Distress Inks.  I added a few highlights with a white ink gel pen.  I paper-pieced her shirt with the same paper used for the large banner in the background.  That paper is from Papertrey Ink.  All of the other supplies are from My Favorite Things.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

{MY FAVORITE THINGS} - Sketch 187
{LOVES RUBBERSTAMPS} - Buttons + Bows
{SIMON SAYS STAMP} - Anything Goes
