{FOR YOU} with Reverse Confetti

I finally got a chance to play along with the current "Sketch For You To Try" challenge over on the {REVERSE CONFETTI} blog.  I guess I was channeling my 80's childhood when making this card... so many sweaters and knit stirrup pants were worn in these colors!  hee hee  :)

I started with a panel of watercolor paper and inked a yellow circle onto the center.  I then spritzed the panel with pink Glimmer Mist.  I layered on die-cut cardstock to match the sketch and actually stuck to it this time!

I finished off the card with a bit of sparkle from a Wink Of Stella glitter pen and some enamel dots.  The RC critters are so adorable, even when they aren't colored in. :)

Here's the sketch and the RC products I used on my card:

{We Wish You A Merry Christmas}

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!  Now it's time to move full-steam ahead on my holiday projects.  I've got a couple of matching ornament chipboard plaques to share with you today:

I am in love with Sylvia Zet's illustrations for Whimsy Stamps and I couldn't wait to ink up this adorable image, fittingly called "HOLLY".

I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and painted it with Distress Ink markers, water, and a paintbrush.  I then die-cut the image and distressed the edges with ink and white gesso paint.  I added some dot highlights throughout the image with gesso and a dot stylus tool.

The bases of the ornaments are from a chipboard album found in the dollar section of a craft store last year.  I painted the bases pink and stamped the MFT Music Note background stamp over the top, in red ink.  I carried the red and pink color throughout the rest of the piece.

Each ornament is decorated with lace and trims/ribbons and a bunch of flowers from {I Am Roses}:
R77-310, R40-78, R2-426, G1-827, S10-40, S10-427

I finished them off with a couple of die-cut snowflakes from MFT, a wooden flower hat pin, red and aqua berry bunches, and gesso all over for a snow effect.  Parts of the image are also covered with a Wink of Stella glitter pen.

I'm linking up these cuties to the following challenges:

Guest Designer at {THE COLOR THROWDOWN}

I'm so excited to be playing along with the gals over at {THE COLOR THROWDOWN} challenge blog this week!  I had a lot of fun creating with this week's color inspiration graphic, and I think you will too.

How great are these colors?!  And they are perfect for Fall.

I hope you can play along with the challenge this week!  I'd love to see what everyone creates, so be sure to pop over to {THE COLOR THROWDOWN} blog for more inspiration to get you started. :)

I grabbed my collection of stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti, matched up the card stock colors to the photo, and got to work.  Remember, the colors don't have to be exact, just as close as you can get them.

It's rare for me to make a card without a stamped/colored image, but it sure is fun to get creative with paper, dies, and a sentiment stamp only.  I added a button and some twine to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

{WARM THOUGHTS}

The weather is getting cooler, it's almost time to bundle up in warm jammies and drink hot cocoa!  But, until then, I'll make do with some cute Winter-themed stamps and cards. :)

This adorable snowman is part of the "Freezy Fellas" stamp set by Paper Smooches and it's one of my favorite sets.  I stamped him onto heavyweight cardstock and lightly watercolored him with Distress Ink markers, water, and a paintbrush.

I die cut the "Tag Scallop Die", also by Paper Smooches, out of white cardstock and heat embossed the bottom section with gold embossing powder.  I cut another tag from designer paper from PTI and adhered it to the original tag and finished it off with a plain band of coral-colored cardstock in the middle.

The sentiment is also from a Paper Smooches stamp set called "First Aid Kit" and I love using it with my snowmen.  The "Let It Snowflake Die-Namics" dies are from My Favorite Things and I also heat embossed them with gold powder.

I inked the background panel with Distress Ink and flicked on some white gesso paint for a snowy look.  I went back in and added some darker white dots of gesso with a stylus to make it stand out a bit more.  I sparkled up the snowman with a Wink Of Stella glitter pen.

{SWEET GREETINGS}

It'd been a while since I colored up a cute Pure Innocence stamp so I grabbed one of my favorites and got started.  This stamp is called  PI Sweet Greetings and I love her stripey pants and cotton candy!

I stamped her onto watercolor paper and painted her with Distress Ink markers, water, and a paintbrush.  I then fussy-cut her out and covered bits of her with sparkles from a Wink Of Stella glitter pen.  Most of the other card elements got covered, as well.  :)

I followed the current sketch from {MY FAVORITE THINGS}, with a bit of a twist, and I used the following products from MFT:
