{Practically PURR-fect}

I finally treated myself to this adorable stamp set called "KITTY'S FAVORITE THINGS" by Neat & Tangled.  This kitten is the cutest I've seen and I couldn't wait to add it to my collection!

The current challenge theme over on Neat & Tangled's challenge blog is RAINBOW, so I colored Mr. Kitty and his favorite things accordingly.  I stamped the images onto watercolor paper in black ink, then heat embossed the ink with clear embossing powder.  This helps the watercolors and the water stay in place while keeping the stamped image crisp and black.

I watercolored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, a paintbrush, and water.  I cut out the images with the coordinating dies, then added a few highlights with a white gel pen.

For the background, I inked over the N&T "Hexastar Stencil" with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, then I splattered droplets of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist sprays in rainbow colors... they are so glimmery!

I then adhered the images to the background with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and it was finished.  The little bird on his head is my favorite part!

I'm playing along in the {LITTLE TANGLES} rainbow challenge, and I'm also playing along with Kathy Racoosin's 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE over on my Instagram page, so come check it out and play along!

Thanks for visiting!
