{HELLO, BEAUTIFUL}

I recently bought this gorgeous "Peonies On Parade" stamp set from Papertrey Ink, after searching the hundreds of pretty floral stamps available right now from so many different companies.  It was hard to choose, but I couldn't stop thinking about watercoloring this set, so I made it mine!

I stamped the images onto watercolor paper and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then painted them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, water, and a paintbrush.  I followed a color challenge, which fit perfectly with what I had in mind for these stamps.

I cut out the images arranged them over a die-cut paper panel, inlaid with a lighter patterned paper, both designs also from Papertrey Ink.  I added a stamped sentiment from Altenew's "Meadow Flower" set, and a few silvery sequins to finish it off.  It was hard to capture the true brightness of this card in photos, but it's super cheerful and lovely in real life!

{LOVE YOU} A Floral One-Layer Card

This was a super-quick card to stamp and color, since it's a one-layer panel card.  I didn't even worry about the images overlapping, since I knew I was going to do some quick, messy watercoloring... it just enhanced the look!

I stamped the images from Concord & 9th's Wildflower stamp set around a die-cut watercolor paper panel to create a frame.  I stamped a simple sentiment in the center, then I watercolored the panel with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, water, and a paintbrush.  I added a few dot highlights with a white ink gel pen and a black Micron pen.

{HIP HOP HOORAY} Easter Gift Tags

These tags were so much fun to create, and they are so Springy and cheerful!
I started by stamping the bunny girl (from My Favorite Things) onto watercolor paper and colored her with Distress Ink markers, water, and a paintbrush.  To save time, I only colored the parts that I knew would be seen when she pops up out of the Polaroid film die (from The Greeting Farm).  I then fussy cut the images.  I added some highlights with a white ink gel pen.

I then gathered my supplies for the tags themselves.  I had some corrugated shipping paper from a recent crafty happy mail order and I love how it adds a ton of dimension and detail.  I laid out everything on large Kraft tags from Ranger/Tim Holtz, grabbed some papers and a bunch of flowers from I Am Roses and started laying out my plan.  These colors were making me so happy!

Before adhering all of the layers together, I inked around the edges with Distress Ink for a distressed and uniform look.  I placed the bunny girls inside the Polaroid frames and added the HIP HOP HOORAY sentiments using small letter stickers (singing the song the whole time, naturally... bless you Naughty By Nature).

I then layered on the papers and die cuts (loopy leaf die from Paper Smooches) and flowers and added a Kraft doily to the backsides of each tag, and tied them with a long piece of jute ribbon.  I used the following paper flowers and leaves from I Am Roses:  ZQL20-426... R40-426... R77-15... CA1-426... S10-40... S10-210.

Then I tied them onto their gifts.  These are Mother's Day gifts for my mom and aunt, who also love to make cards and do papercrafts, and I wanted them to have some of my favorite 110lb heavy-weight cardstock paper from Papertrey Ink.  I'm giving them the gifts on Easter, so I figured Easter tags were a cute way to go.  I hope they love them, because I sure do!

{BIRTHDAY WISHES} Guest Star Stamper with The Color Throwdown

I'm super excited to be the Guest Star Stamper for this week's challenge over on {THE COLOR THROWDOWN} challenge blog!  The challenge colors are some of my favorites, I can't wait to see what everyone creates with them.

The colors for this week are coral, yellow, green, and white:

I created a birthday card with a giant cupcake and candle for making a big wish.  The cupcake die set is from Paper Smooches.  The sentiment letter dies are from My Favorite Things.

I used Distress Ink to create a quick watercolored background in a pinky/coral/orangey shade.  I cut the cupcake shapes twice, once from patterned paper and once from thick kraft paper, and layered them together.  I inked around the edges and popped them onto the card using foam tape for extra dimension.  I finished it off with a few coral pink and iridescent sequins.

Be sure to hop on over to {THE COLOR THROWDOWN} blog to see all of the designers' inspiration creations and to play along in the challenge!

{FRILLY EASTER BLESSINGS}

When I bought the stamp set that included this cute basket, I knew I wanted to create an Easter card with it holding eggs.  I'm glad it turned out pretty cute!  I started by blending some Distress Ink onto watercolor paper and flicking on some gold/brown Glimmer Mist to create the egg speckles.

I then used a small oval die to cut out the egg shapes.  I added some extra Distress Ink around the edges to give them a bit of dimension.

I then placed them into the basket.  I layered on some die-cut cardstock and design paper for the background, added some gold crinkle ribbon for a bow, a button and twine, and some punched butterflies to finish it off.

{SHOWERED with LOVE}

I recently got these cute rainbow and cloud dies from Paper Smooches and they are so much fun to play with!  This card doesn't have any stamping or coloring on it... just die-cutting, ink blending, glimmer mist flicking, and sequin-gluing.

I cut the rainbow a bunch of times from different colored cardstocks, which in the end, created six separate rainbows to use on different projects (awesome).  I die-cut a circle from my background panel and inked it with Distress Ink.  I also flicked on some blue Glimmer Mist spray to tie in the blue background to the main panel.  The LOVE die is also from Paper Smooches.  I added a few iridescent sequins as raindrops to finish it off!
