Make It Monday #43 - challenge card

I made this card tonight for {PapertreyInk's Make It Monday} #43 Challenge: Ribbon Pleating.

I used some stamps from PTI's Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set (mitten + sentiment) and some patterned paper from Colorbok.  The grosgrain ribbon came from my crafty stash.

I used the Nestabilities circle and scalloped dies and chalked the inside of the circle with pink chalk.  I popped up the mittens, scalloped circle and sentiment block on foam squares for some extra dimension.  All of this was placed on a white A2 size card base.

Celebrate Today - card

I made this card for the  {iCOPIC Weekly Challenge} which has a vintage theme.  I used my new Sugarplums - Spring Trevor stamp by C.C. Designs.

This was one of those cards that took a bit of planning and kept changing over and over as I was going along.  The finished project looks nothing like my beginning sketch, but I love it even more!

The patterned papers are from Recollections and Colorbok.  The blue/teal textured card stock is from my stash.  The Celebrate Today sentiment stamp is from PapertreyInk.  I inked around all of the edges with tea-dye distress ink.  It's all adhered to a Kraft paper card base.

{Freshly Made Sketches} challenge card

I made this card for the weekly challenge at {Freshly Made Sketches}:
My Nestabilities dies finally came (hooray!) and I put them right to work.  I love the scalloped circles!  I also used my new Sugarplums - Cherry Emma stamp from C.C. Designs.  I gave her a few freckles. How cute is she?

The patterned paper is from Colorbok.  Card stock from my stash.  Brown ribbon from MarthaStewart Crafts. I hand-printed the Thank You sentiment myself.

PTI's Make It Monday: Challenge Card

For this week's Make It Monday challenge at the {PapertreyInk} blog, we were asked to create a background with sentiment stamps.

I used the sentiment "Christmas lives in the heart." from PTI's Love Lives Here: Holiday set.  The angel, wings and small heart stamps are from the same collection.  I stamped the sentiment onto the Kraft card stock base with VersaMark ink. The hearts are in a darker brown.

The brown and patterned papers are from Recollections.   I added some clear Stickles to the angel's red heart to bling it up a bit. The angel, wings and heart are on dimensional adhesive as well.

Thanks, Ian! - card

This week's challenges at {Anyone For Anya?} and {iCopic} are both about THANKS and Thanksgiving.  Since I have made a few Fall-themed and Fall-colored cards already, I decided to make an everyday THANKS card instead:
I colored the Oh Boy! Ian stamp with Copics and paper-pieced the background with a few different patterned papers from Recollections by Michael's and DCWV.  The card stock is from PapertreyInk.

I do like how his jeans turned out.  I added some faded "creases" with the Copic blender pen.

It's Autumn, Ian! - card

This week's challenge at {The Play Date Cafe} is to use the colors Maroon, Copper + Turmeric... great Fall colors!

This Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm is usually holding a sunflower.  I masked off that part when I inked/stamped him so I could add some Fall leaves instead.  The little oak leaf and acorn stamps are from the dollar section at JoAnn.  They are so awesomely tiny and cute!

I popped the acorn up on a foam square for some dimension. The card stock that I used is from PapertreyInk... the perfect colors for the challenge!
He's perfectly dressed for an afternoon of gathering leaves, wouldn't you say?   :)

Ruby + Ian Sittin' In A Tree - card

For the weekly challenge at {Our Creative Corner} we were asked to create something with either pumpkins or the color of pumpkin pie...which is perfect, since Thanksgiving is quickly coming up!

I decided to stamp Ruby + Ian (from The Greeting Farm) together for this one:
Tee hee!  Awww, just look at those two...  :)

The colored card stock is from PapertreyInk and the patterned paper is from Recollections by Michael's.  I colored their outfits to match the stripes in the patterned paper.

I cut a small notch in the top fold of the card stock to thread the ribbon through and around.  I tied a loopy bow and topped it with a rope-tied, purple button.

Just Because - card

I combined two challenges for this card:  a color challenge from {Color Throwdown} and a sketch challenge from {Cardabilities}.

I just couldn't get the colors to photograph well.  The paper is a maroonish-red, not orange.  Anyway, I still like the sketch and the finished card!  :)

Christmas Princess Anya - card

I decided to turn my Princess Anya stamp (from The Greeting Farm) into a {CHRISTMAS PRINCESS} and I think she fits the role perfectly!
The Copic colors I used are:

HAIR:  R20, R22, R35, R27
SKIN:  E50, E51, R20
CLOTHES: YG00, YG03, YG06, YG91
CROWN/WAND: Y15, Y17, YR12
I used 5 different patterned papers that I had in my stash. Most of them are from DCWV stacks and Recollections by Michael's.  I tied a small, poofy, white bow with sheer ribbon and stuck in a few red berry picks to tie it all together.  I added some Stickles glitter to her crown, wand and eyelids.
I paper-pieced her gown with the same green/white patterned paper from Recollections. I did some specific spot-shading on her crown and wand and added the Stickles to those shadowed areas only.  I really love the dimension it provides.

I am also in love with her hair!  :)

Cuddle Anya - card

I didn't make this card for any current card challenge, I just NEEDED to make something with this darling Cuddle Anya stamp!  She's one of my favorites from The Greeting Farm.  So sweet.

This would make an excellent baby girl card...
I paper-pieced her hat and tiny booties.  I stamped her hat and boot images onto the pink card stock and placed them into my polkadot embossing folder and ran them through the Big Shot machine.  I then cut them out, adhered them in place and added a bit of Copic color to make them fit in with the rest of the colored image.

Her hat looks so soft, it reminds me of the super soft minky-dot fabric that I love. She's all warm and cozy and ready for a snuggle! The pink card stock base is from PapertreyInk and the 3 patterned papers are from the DCWV Mango Frost matstack.

All My Love For Christmas - card

Today's card challenge at {365 Cards} is to use the technique of "spotlighting" with stamps.  To draw attention to one stamp or one aspect of a stamp.

I decided to make another Christmas card:
I used the angel, wings and sentiment stamp from PapertreyInk's "Love Lives Here: Holiday" stamp/die set.  I stamped the angel body a few times onto a Kraft card base with VersaMark ink, then stamped her on white card stock with light blue ink.  The wings were stamped in brown then glittered with Stickles. The patterned paper is from Recollections by Michael's and the ribbon is from Martha Stewart Crafts.

Classy Flirty Anya - card

Today's Monday Fun-Day #7 challenge at {The Farm Fresh Challenge Blog} is to be creative with the colors RED + BLACK + WHITE/SILVER.

This Flirty Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm is perfect for these colors.  I stamped and colored her with Copics.  All of the papers used for this card were from my stash of randomness that I've had for years, including the awesome red, flocked damask paper.... so lovely!  I tied it all together with white and grey grosgrain ribbon and a large poofy bow.  Love it!

I added silver Stickles to her gown and shoes and clear Stickles to her flower.  I used some blingy rhinestones as earrings, too.  Gotta glam it up, baby!  :)

Oh Boy! Ian - card

This week's Color Splash Challenge #107 at {The Play Date Cafe} is to be creative with the colors BLACK + WHITE with a splash of ORANGE.
I stamped and colored this Oh Boy! Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm.  Can you see how great the Copic markers blend on this Curious Metallic Iridescent Cryogen White Paper It makes everything sparkly!  I love this paper.  I purchased mine from

The black/white polkadot paper is from a Recollections pack by Michael's. The orange card stock base and the Hello sentiment are from PapertreyInk.  The rest of the paper is from my stash of random bits.  I think it turned out nice and non-Halloweeney, which is what I was trying to avoid with these colors.  More of an everyday card option.  :)

Heartfelt Thanks - card

Over on the {iCOPIC BLOG} they have their Weekly Challenge #55.  The theme for this week's challenge is THANKFUL: Create a thankful or Thanksgiving themed project.
Here's what I came up with:

I love this fox stamp!  He is a dollar stamp from the Happy Harvest collection by Imaginesce.
I colored him with Copics (lights E11, E13, E99 darks E23, E25, E27, E29, circle edge E50, E51) and popped him up on a Mat Stack 3 stamp from PapertreyInk.  The sentiment is also from PTI.  The rest of the paper is by PTI + DCWV. I distressed the edges and the embossed polkadots and inked around the edges with a white gel pen.  I recycled the ribbon from a gift and tied it into a large knot, then snipped the ends into V's to finish it off.  The card base is a standard A2 size in black.

Just For You - Hello Ian Card

Another challenge happening at The Greeting Farm's {Farm Fresh Challenge Blog} is the Farm Fresh Spy Day #6.  They spy a great card from their gallery then we get to copy it.

I used my new Hello Ian stamp from TGF:

It can be a bit hard to make a non-feminine card sometimes, but having cute boy stamps from TGF definitely helps.  I love the way this card turned out.  I never would have thought of doing the triangle paper corners on my own.  Go challenges!

I colored this little Hello Ian dude with Copic markers. The scalloped aqua card stock and the Just For You sentiment stamp are from PapertreyInk. The plaid and chevron patterned papers are from a "Recollections" pack by Michael's.  The sunflower colored paper has been in my collection for a while.  I inked around the edges in brown distress ink and "stitched" the paper-pieces together with a black liner pen.  The card front was then placed onto a 5"x5" white card base.

Quite the charming young chap!  His tiny buttons are the cutest.

Hiya! - card

The month-long "RETRO-FRESH" challenge for November, over at The Greeting Farm's {Farm Fresh Challenge Blog}, is to get creative with the colors AQUA and BERRY and to use a TGF stamp at least 6 months old.

I chose to use "Ruby" as my stamped image.  She's so sweet!
I colored her with Copic markers and added a little extra shine to her eyes with white gel pen.  The BLACK,  AQUA and BERRY colored card stocks are from PapertreyInk.  The patterned paper is from "Emma's Shoppe Collection" by Crate Paper.  The pink ribbon is from Martha Stewart Crafts.  The sparkly punch-out letters I have had in my stash for years and I have no idea where they are from.  :)  The finished card front was placed onto a 5"x5" white card base.

Hello! Flirty Anya Card

Like I mentioned before, my new set of stamps from The Greeting Farm has arrived.  I am in love with them!  The current Monday Fun-Day #6 challenge over at TGF's {Farm Fresh Challenge Blog} is to make a card/project without using any designer paper.  Also, you gotta thrown in some ribbon.

No problem-o!
Well, hello there Miss Anya!  Look at that face..... gah!  It kills me with cuteness.

I used a dark gray card base, punched out some small circles from a lighter gray and pink cardstocks, then inked around the edges with the Copic markers.  I used white grosgrain ribbon along the bottom and for the bow.  I added a few shine lines to her dress, shoes and flower with a white gel pen.  I hand-printed the Hello sentiment and colored it with the Copics.  I threw on some blingy silver rhinestones to her flower center and along the ribbon.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the next few cards I create will consist of more colored Greeting Farm stamps.... so stay tuned!   :)

Hello To You! Princess Anya Card

Hooray!  My first order of Copic markers and some stamps from The Greeting Farm came in the mail this weekend and I wasted no time in putting them to use.

The color challenge this week at {The Play Date Cafe} was to use the colors GRAY, YELLOW + PINK:

I stamped then colored TGF's Princess Anya and came up with this card:
How cute is she?!  Super-duper cute.  I paper-pieced the skirt part of the dress with the same paper that I used in the background.  The card base is dark grey, the matting for the patterned paper is a lighter grey. I used a white gel pen to make "stitched" dashes around the mats. I hand-printed the sentiment in black ink and colored in spots with the Copics.  I added Stickles to her crown and wand and a few silver rhinestones on the tag.
