{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Sunday Challenge

Argggh, mateys!  We have another fun challenge for ye over at the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} challenge blog.  The challenge theme for this week is PIRATES or anything PIRATE RELATED (think bandannas, eye patches, treasure maps, pirate ships, mermaids, etc).  Time to get creative!
For my card, I used the "PIRATE HONEY" stamp from C.C. Designs.  The papers are from K & Company and Recollections.  The "X" is a grungeboard letter by Tim Holtz.  I printed the sentiment myself in Paint... I found this cute font that has skulls inside the letters!  Awesome.  The twine and button are from my stash.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week, so come play along with us at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} and check out the DT's cool inspiration cards!  :)

Whimsie Doodles - March Challenge

Whew, busy week. Two migraines and all the fun that comes with those... kept me away from crafting as much as I wanted to!  Lame.  But here we go!  I made this round, scalloped card for the {WHIMSIE DOODLES} March challenge "SPRING FLING" - create a project inspired by Spring.

She's a cutie!  This digi image is called "SHY FAIRY" and can be purchased from the Whimsie Doodles shop {HERE}.  She reminds me of one of my nieces, with the curly hair and the cute little glasses.  I had to have her.  :)  The paper is from Recollections and Colorbok.  The ribbon, twine and flowers are from my crafty stash.  The HELLO stamp is from Studio G.  These small, round cards are a lot of fun to make!

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Sketch Challenge

Hiya!  It's Sunday... time for another fun challenge at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!  This week, we have a cute sketch for you to copy.  Be sure to hop on over to the blog to see our design team projects and to play along!

I love this sketch!  I used the Wild Sprouts - Chelsea stamp from {The Greeting Farm}.  I paper-pieced her hair with the same pink patterned paper that I used to surround her.  I love paper-piecing with the Greeting Farm images... they have so much cute hair that it works great!  There is a lot of fussy-cutting, but I think it's worth it.  Pink, flowery hair?  Yes please! I also paper-pieced her clothes with the same pattern from the background paper.  The "Best Of Luck" sentiment stamp is from PaperTrey Ink's "Mat Stack 3" set.  :)

For You, Friend - card

This card is one of my favorites, so far.  It just all came together from my mind to the paper.  It definitely helps to have a darling digi image from {Tiddly Inks} to pull it all together.  :)

Her name is Poppy, and you can purchase/download her {here} .  I fell in love with her the moment I saw her.  The hair, the poppy, the socks... perfection.  I'm also really enjoying the machine stitching!  It adds the extra dimension that I feel some of my cards need when finished.  Hopefully it doesn't look like too much!  The paper is from K&Company and Recollections.  The lace border is from my sewing stash.  I added the sentiment myself in Paint before I printed the image out.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
{TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG} #81 - "Best Friends Forever"
{DO YOU STACK UP CHALLENGE BLOG} #63 - Favorite Color (green).

{MINI TAG ALBUM} - Tutorial

Hello, everyone!  I just wanted to let you know that I have posted a tutorial on how to make this adorable MINI TAG ALBUM over at my other crafty blog {PEPPERMINT PLUM}.  Check it out!  :)

{HELLO YOU} - March SOG Sketch Challenge

I am falling in love with all things {SOME ODD GIRL} .  Not only are the images adorable and original, they are so much fun to color!  The monthly challenge for March is a sketch challenge.  This is my take on it:

I used the digi image called "ROLLER MAE" which can be downloaded {HERE}.  Hey, look at that -- she's currently only $2.25!  GO GET HER!  You won't regret it.  :)

I used some DP's from K-&-Company, Colorbok and American Crafts and added some machine stitching.  The sentiment words were cut for me by my mom with her Cricut machine - - I'm not sure which cartridge was used.  The wood grain stamp is from American Crafts.  The flowers are from my crafty stash.

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} Photo Inspiration Challenge

It's Sunday -- time for another challenge at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!  This week, we have another PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge for you.  Using an image from The Greeting Farm or C.C. Designs, we want to see how this image inspires you:

For my DT contribution card, I used a stamp from The Greeting Farm's "Dressy Anya" stamp set, which I colored with my Copics.  I also broke out my sewing machine (finally) to add some cute stitching elements.  I love it!  The clock image I found online at {FREE VINTAGE DIGITAL STAMPS}. The DP is from K-and-Company's "Wild Raspberry" paper pad and the leaves were cut with the "Leaves" die from C.C. Designs.  For the sentiment, I just typed it up in Paint and printed it out on the same paper as the clock.

Since I'm planning on giving this card to my mom for her upcoming birthday (shh, mom, look away), I made the inside cute, too:

I used some of the same DP's from the front of the card and stitched along the outside. I'll be handwriting a birthday sentiment inside.  :)

Today I am showing you the fourth and final image called Lil Dutch Lolita Lylah:

How lovely is she?!  She was fun to color.  I had originally drawn a small grassy scene around her feet, but it didn't end up working out (hence the green under her clogs).  I do like how the card turned out though and I really love having her holding the red rose. She's ready for a picnic; won't you join her?

Saturated Canary Challenge - card

The current challenge #12 over at the {SATURATED CANARY BLOG} is "Doilies".  That, I can do.  Doilies with the gorgeous Saturated Canary images?  I can't wait to look through everyone's entries.  Gonna be beautiful!  I used the image "Pricilla Pie":

She's the cutest!  This project originally started out as a large tag, but it just didn't work out. I trimmed it and stuck it on a card base and the world was right again.  :)  I colored her with Copics, black liner pen and white gel pen. The sentiment is from PapertreyInk's Mat Stack 3 set.  The card stock, ribbon and doily are from my stash and the DP is from KandCompany's "Wild Raspberry" pad which I recently purchased and can't seem to stop using!

I'm also linking this card up to the {SIMON SAYS STAMP CHALLENGE}.

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - photo inspiration challenge

We have a new challenge for you today over at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}. Using an image from The Greeting Farm or C.C. Designs, we want to see your best project created with an ASIAN ELEMENT.  This can be interpreted in so many different ways... we can't wait to see what you come up with!

For my DT card today, I have used a stamp from the Miss Anya Dressy set (by The Greeting Farm).

I colored her with Copics in shades of red and black and used a white Gel pen to add some shine.  I cut out circles and a scallop from Nestabilities dies and the leaves are cut with the "Leaves" die from C. C. Designs.

I grabbed a pen and quickly doodled some cherry blossoms on pink card stock.  I colored them a bit with pink Copics and red ink around the edges.  I added some white dots in the center with a gel pen.  They're not the best, but I think you can tell they are cherry blossoms... and I like them!  :)

I had fun with this challenge theme.  We'd love it if you came to play with us this week at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!
