I had a super-strong craving for some orange juice this morning, but since I didn't have any, I went to the next best thing; the "Fresh 'n Fruity" stamp set by {REVERSE CONFETTI} always gets my juices flowing—literal and crafty!  :)

Aw yiss. Now that's juicy!

I inked the orange stamps in a light orange color then added a bit of a darker orange ink around the outside to create some shadow and dimension.  Once stamped, it looks pretty awesome.  I also added some Wink of Stella glitter pen around the dark parts of the oranges and in random places on the rest of the bits and pieces.  All of the paper, cardstock, and inks are from Papertrey Ink.

This is my second card using the current {Sketch For You To Try}, only this time I actually followed it!  It's a great sketch and my card came together pretty quickly.

{SENDING SUNSHINE} on a Happy July 4th!

I sat at my craft desk early this morning, determined to create something new.  The fact that it's the fourth of July holiday made my subject matter fall right into place!

I looked at all of the fun challenges I wanted to play along with and incorporated everything into one lacy, floral, festive RED WHITE and BLUE card to share with you today.  :)

I wanted to do something I haven't done in a while, so I grabbed my white embossing powder, this cute Fleur Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm, and got started.

I heat-embossed the image and then painted it with Distress Ink markers, water, and a paintbrush.  I love this look!  You'll probably see it more often from me...it's just so soft and pretty, no?

I followed a sketch and layered up a bunch of papers and cardstock from Papertrey Ink.  I added a handful of gorgeous flowers and leaves from I Am Roses... some of which I ordered just for this holiday, so I'm glad I remembered to use them! That blue rose... it's perfect.  :)
They are as follows:  R21-426,  R77-310,  S10-78,  ZQL20-426

I'm linking this girl up to the following challenges:

{I AM ROSES} - June IAR Challenge
{SIMON SAYS STAMP} - Going Dotty
{THE GREETING FARM} - July: Red,White,Blue
{PAPERTAKE WEEKLY} - Take Your Pick (sketch)

It's been one of those months where my crafting mojo has been non-existent... I blame the heat. Blech.  But, I feel the mojo coming back!  I've got a card to share that I made for the July 'Sketch For You To Try' challenge over on the Reverse Confetti blog:

I'm in love with this flamingo stamp and die set and I reach for it often.
I paired it up with a bunch of other dies from Reverse Confetti.  I love how well everything coordinates!  If you don't yet have any Reverse Confetti goodies, I highly recommend getting some. You won't be disappointed. :)

The RC products are used are: Diagonal Stripe Panel, Tag Me Too, Fabulous Flamingo Stamp + Die sets, Love Note, and Double Edge Scallop Border.  Any of these links can take you directly to the Reverse Confetti shop so you can play along, too!
